Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We skipped Christmas at home this year and took a 10 day trip to Hawaii.
What a wonderful idea this was. We were enjoying 75 degree days while a lot of the country was covered with snow.
The islands of Hawaii were full of Christmas Cheer. It seemed strange to see the Christmas decorations in such a lush tropical location.
People greeted us with Aloha and Mele Kalikimaka and Hau'oli Makahiki Hou everywhere we went.
My tongue does not work well with the Hawaiian pronunciation.
Hawaii has so many different cultures. It is so interesting. Hardly anyone you talk to is a native Hawaiian.
I am sure you will be hearing a lot more about Hawaii as I only have about 1600 pictures.
