John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
He loves us so much that He gave His only Son to die for our sin.
Romans 5: 15
But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
1John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

John 3:16 was the first verse I ever memorized. I just read an e-mail (you know the ones that get passed around and you don't know if it is all true) but any ways. It said that when Tim Tebow wore John 3:16 on his eye patch in a FL Gators game that the verse was Googled over 93 million times. Makes you wonder if that many people really don't know the verse about God's greatest sacrifice and love!
ReplyDeleteJohn 3:16 is so profound. I respect Tim Tebow for standing up for his faith. To God be the Glory if that is true. It is sad to think that 93 million people would not know John 3:16. I think that a lot of people out there have never read the bible. We travel to Zambia and there are people there starving for God's Word. They ask for just a page out of the bible, if not a bible. Blessings, Shelia
ReplyDeleteI love the visual with the verse on the hand!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I used Photoshop because I didn't have a photo that I had taken that would work. Thanks for coming to my blog. I visited yours and started following you. I like your work. The ladies of my congregation have been studying the names of God. I love all of His names but my favorite is El Shaddy-God Almighty. Blessing to you. Shelia
